GENERAL INFORMATION
Location
Bordered on the north by the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, Montana is an important link between western Canada and the western United States. Montana and Alberta share the international Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. The Montana portion is Glacier National Park, the "Crown of the Continent.' Idaho borders the west side of Montana and the Dakotas border the east. Directly south is Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Three of the five entrances to Yellowstone are in Montana.
Mileage
The U.S. state of Montana is located in the western central part of the North American continent. Cradled on the west by the majestic Rocky Mountain range and embracing the rugged beauty of the high plains river breaks on the east. Bordered on the north by the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, on the east by North Dakota, on the south by Wyoming and on the west by Idaho.
